What is IPFN?
Published 2025-01-10
The International Pinned File Number (IPFN) is an open, transparent system for digital authorship verification.
How It Works
When you certify a work with IPFN, we:
- Compute a cryptographic hash (SHA-256) of your file
- Pin metadata to IPFS, creating an immutable Content ID (CID)
- Assign a unique IPFN identifier
- Publish a verifiable certificate
Why IPFN?
IPFN provides a decentralized, immutable record of provenance for digital works, ensuring authenticity and trust in the digital realm.
